As promised..........

I started packing up the "studio" last weekend and really haven't gotten any further due to circumstances beyond my control, but |I promised I'd share those pictures with you all so you could see that I too am a fabriholic!  So how many of you can relate with this........

Then there's more here........

......and more here.........

..and I haven't actually opened all the drawers yet.......there are already 4 boxes packed and you can't see the books from any of these angles.......HELP!  I'm drowning!  Only kidding - actually for the first time in my quilting life I have started to sort my fabrics by colour!  What has gotten into me?????

Yesterday was my Beginner Quiltmaking Class and as you can see by this picture, Sara is on her way to completing her first quilt........

She's working on a Variable Star for her last block!  I'm so thrilled with all the work she put into this, since I designed the quilt, I am just thrilled.  The other students are slowly working on their quilts too and I honestly can't wait to see the finished products.....

Barb was hanging around for awhile and she showed off her new tool caddy!  When we were cleaning out my bedroom at the house and the closet I came across this "makeup bag" - I didn't want it so we threw out all the old makeup and Barb took it home.  It really works out well as a quilting tool caddy!

I actually got stalled on the packing in the house because I only have until the end of the month (this Sunday) to clean out my mother's apartment.  Barb and I spent the day at my mom's packing up the kitchen and filling about 10 garbage bags with the junk.

It took me a while but I finally found a charity to take some of the furniture and the kitchen stuff - Furniture Bank - the only catch is, I have to pay to have it all picked up!  I just couldn't abandon that furniture - it is old but in good condition and usable.  They do issue a donation receipt.

Around 7:00 P.M. we took all the disability stuff, the walkers, the shower chairs, the "potty" chair, etc. which my mother had along with a hand crocheted afghan and some other useful stuff over to the Baycrest Hospital for the patients to use.
Again, my mom had alot of this stuff from my grandmother as well as some for her own use and I really couldn't just leave it there......

We arrived at the store to find the Patchwork Sampler B.O.M. well under way with Laurissa at the helm.  I don't know what I would have done without all my wonderful "chicks" and teachers who have really picked up the slack when I haven't been around, they are amazing!  ....and I have to say, my customers don't hesitate to pitch in and help also!  You are all amazing!

Soon - I hope to be back to full time running my fabulous store and quilting!  I can't wait, I'm really itching to get back to my "Sonia" and "Bernie" (Janome and Bernina)......

Happy Quilting!
