Some very talented quilters!

Sit & Sew Mondays are always a joy.  We have some very talented quilters who get together every week and wow us with their great projects!

This week was no exception.  Elaine has been diligently working for the past few weeks on a project that is a real "WOW" project.  She designed this quilt herself and drew all of the machine applique pieces herself as well.  This is one very talented lady......
The top row is Wish Upon A Star with the music, the middle row is Baa, Baa Blacksheep with music and the bottom row is Itsy, Bitsy Spider with the music.  I couldn't wait until it was completed to take the picture but her choices for borders, etc. are also pretty awesome......  I believe that this quilt is for a Silent Auction donation to a school.  (I'll get the low down next week)  I think I might want to bid on this one!

Next there were Linda and Leeann who are working diligently on their Pineapple blocks from Sandy Lindal's recent class.  They are both going to be fabulous quilts.....

Here's Linda's......
And here's Leeann's - both so different and both unique......

Then their are the 30's girls - Gail and Dorothy are both making borders for their Buck A Block quilts out of the leftover pieces they had from the blocks......they are going to be awesome too!
So much going on........speaking of which!  Does everyone know what Sunday is?????  It's Super Bowl Sunday!

At Cock A Doodle Quilts - it's SUPER BOLT SUNDAY, which means you have to read your e-mail's to find out what's going on or call the store for details........

Just to keep you all up to date so you don't miss a class you had meant to sign up for but put off, the following classes are starting or happening this week......
Beginner Beading - Pam Woodward
Starts Wednesday February 3rd - 7:00 - 9:30 P.M.

Beginner Applique - Nancy McCracken

If you missed joining the Take Away Mystery, The Christmas Club, The American Beauty Block of the Month or The Patchwork Sampler Block of the Month - there's still time.  As a matter of fact - the Christmas Club will probably have two options - the morning class from 10:30 - 11:30 P.M. and an added afternoon class from 3:00- 4:00 P.M. on the 3rd Saturday of the month.

That's all the news for now - I did not go home and work on my Ditch Flowers or my "obsession" last night - I went home and collapsed on the couch, which was a big mistake......pain everywhere today!  Oh well!  I was going to share my "obsession" today but I forgot to do one little thing so you'll have to wait until next time I blog.....

Happy Quilting!

Jo-Ann
