THE WIDEBACKS HAVE ARRIVED! We've got 4 new widebacks to entice you. They are really luscious but you have to see them up close to really appreciate them.
This one is black with half shells in cream. Hard to see here but check it out when you come in. It reminded me of some of the Sashiko patterns.
Every time I turn around there seems to be something new and I still haven't caught up on the pictures and happenings I missed while I was "neglecting" the blog.....
Tomorrow is Healing Heroes and I hear we are going to be pretty full - I'm so glad this is happening - it is such a worthy cause. The first Saturday of every month a group of women come together to quilt lap quilts for our wounded soldiers and enjoy each others company......it's a wonderful cause and we are so happy to have been asked to be a part of it.
Sunday is Colour Your Fabric (Finger painting for adults!) with Pam Woodward - there may be a few spaces left if you're interested - give us a call!
Tuesday night is the first OFFICIAL meeting of the Underground Railroad Club and we are expecting a full house - the daytime meeting is Thursday at 11:00 a.m.. We are so excited - I'll take loads of pics for this one. Monthly meetings as we progress with all of our different "period" quilts......
I have to admit I enjoy blogging when I am relaxed and not under pressure with deadlines (which by the way is not the case) however, it's Friday night and Barb and I decided to have our own little "Sit & Sew" at the store this evening so I thought I'd blog first and then get going!
"Someone" will be working on the Metro Goes "Au Naturel" quilt tonight now that the engineers have showed her the secret of how to piece the blocks square!
Happy Quilting!
