Keeping up......

I'm trying to be very diligent about blogging and this week I've been pretty good!  I'm hoping this will continue.....

Last night we had our first class of Beginner Machine Quiltmaking and my students were fantastic.  They will soon be surpassing my meager quilting skills at this rate......with Rail Fence under their belts I'm sure they are looking forward to what comes next!

I have been waiting for this delivery of patterns for two weeks and am pleased to say it finally arrived!  Laurissa has gotten me piqued on Hawaiin Applique, two color quilts - she will be teaching the Calla Lillies in April so I contacted Pacific Rim to order patterns and of course could not resist a few more for our collection.....take a look.....no drooling please!  First - Calla Lillies......

Next we have - Bird of Paradise......

Then - Herd of Turtles, which Laurissa is currently working on.....may be a class for next term....

....and last is - Candlelight - start now and have it done in plenty of time for Christmas.....the technique is really cool too!  You'll have to take Laurissa's class or come in and grab a pattern.

If you like 2 Color Quilt designs be sure to check out their website at www.prqc.com and let us know.  We'll be happy to order more patterns in from them!  Remember, we will be happy to special order anything you may need for your quilting or needlework.  Just give us a call at the store!

Tonight, after I lock the doors I am going home to quilt (sleep)!  No seriously - if you ask me right now it would be to sleep but I'm hoping to catch a second wind when I close the doors (which will no doubt be caused by the "Miranda" wind when I go to the car) so that I can get down into the studio or possibly do some more work on my "obsession".....we'll soon see!  It's almost time to leave -

On that note I will start tidying up and leave you with -

Happy Quilting!

Jo-Ann
