Happy New Year Everyone!

Happy New Year Everyone!

The plan for New Year's Eve was a quiet little quilting party with a few friends at the store. Barb, Sharon, Flo, Libby, Lynn and I had a wonderful time. I, of course cooked. The menu consisted of Fillet of Beef with Gorgonzola Sauce (to die for), Roasted Garlic Potatoes and Roasted Garlic Tomatoes. All recipes from the Barefoot Contessa, Ina Garten. It was absolutely divine! Dessert and Appetizers came from everyone. I supplied Carrot Cake, Sharon brought homemade fruitcake and cookies, Lynn brought crackers with spreads and turtles, Flo brought buns and candies and Libby (bless her) brought the wine!

Here's Barb working away on her quilt. It's a baby/toddler quilt and the pictures are just below.
The colours are pink and orange, from the Lakehouse Little Lady line of fabrics. It's bright and very cute!
Flo worked on finishing her 2008 Buck A Block Quilt.
.....and brought in a quilt that needs a bit of repair. She's doing it for her god son who lives in Italy and asked her to fix it.....not sure how, but leave it to Flo it will go back repaired.
Libby is working on a gorgeous quilt from a class she took recently. You can see one of the blocks next to Barb's quilt on the design wall. Lynn is working on two toddler quilts for her twin grandson's who are 2-1/2.
Sharon is finishing the Slash Your Stash she is making for her sister (for Christmas).
Don't ask about my projects....they never got out of the box. I was too busy cooking and cleaning up (I really made a mess of the kitchen this time). I even went home and got Bosley who came to say Hi to the ladies for a bit (no pictures- was too tired by then)..... We had a great time and vowed to do it again next year!
Today seemed to be a lazy day at home but I did get the hallway done.... below are the before and after pics! This is great motivation for getting things done!
Hard to believe it's the same house.....tomorrow I'll tackle something else. I also got all the pictures catalogued from the camera which took about 2 hours....no quilting as of yet but the night is still young....
Wishing you all a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year!!!
Happy Quilting!
Jo-Ann

We really did have a wonderful time! Lots of yakking and laughing. I couldn't have asked for better company.
BTW...Jo-Anne is a wonderful cook if you can see the food through the smoke! ;0)
